Video Guard Monitoring and Live Camera Response

Video Guard Monitoring adds trained human review and a defined response plan to supported network cameras. When an event is detected during the schedule you select, a monitoring operator can review the available video and respond according to your written instructions.

What the service can do

  • Monitor selected cameras, zones and schedules.
  • Review analytic events to help distinguish normal activity from suspicious behavior.
  • Use supported on-site speakers, sirens or warning lights when included in the system design.
  • Notify designated contacts or request public-safety response when the event and response plan call for it.
  • Document monitored events using the capabilities of the selected platform.

Response options depend on the camera platform, connectivity, site equipment, monitoring plan and local public-safety procedures. Monitoring reduces reliance on self-notifications, but it cannot prevent every incident or guarantee police response, apprehension or loss prevention.

Video Guard Monitoring pricing

  • First supported camera: $100 per month.
  • Each additional supported camera: $75 per month.
  • Live talk-down capability: typically an additional $25 per month when supported.

Equipment, installation, networking, cloud-video service, taxes and special response requirements are quoted separately. Final pricing depends on compatibility and the approved scope.

Cloud video is required

This service requires compatible network or cloud-connected cameras with reliable internet access and supported event delivery. A closed local CCTV system that cannot securely send events or video to the monitoring platform is not suitable for remote Video Guard Monitoring.

If an existing system is compatible, selected cameras may be reused. If it is not, we can propose the necessary cameras, speakers, analytics, recorder or cloud service.

How we plan the response

  1. Survey the site: confirm views, lighting, blind spots, network condition and available deterrent devices.
  2. Define zones and schedules: identify when people or vehicles should and should not be present.
  3. Write the escalation plan: specify talk-down, on-site contacts, guards and public-safety notification.
  4. Test the workflow: verify events, video, audio and contact information before service begins.
  5. Review performance: adjust zones and rules when operating conditions change.

Best-fit locations

  • Vehicle lots and equipment yards.
  • Construction and storage areas.
  • Loading docks and delivery approaches.
  • Building exteriors and restricted entrances.
  • Vacant or lightly staffed properties.
